“Mudslinging and other short Stories” by Nauman Afzal is a bouquet containing different issues (social and moral), harsh realities of life, romance and some light heartedness. The writer controlled the pace of the writing. The characters are very deeply described and colorful. The best part of the book is that it teaches readers that they have to seize the moment because you never know when life will end. My favorite story was, The Lonely Man. It also shows us that we have to embrace the pain that comes with being alive. My favorite lines from the story are, “There are two kinds of pain, one is physical and the other emotional. One can deal with physical pain, but there is no cure for emotional pain.”
